Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival to Amman

After passing through Immigration and Customs formalities, proceed to the Arrivals Hall where your English speaking driver will be waiting to transfer you to your hotel. Overnight: Amman

Day 2: Petra Tour

Breakfast, then an early morning departure, taking the Desert Highway to the rose red city of Petra. With your professional English speaking guide walk through the 1.2km long Siq (chasm) passing tombs, shrines and carvings before reaching the magnificent Treasury. Explore the Street of Facades, Roman Theatre, Royal Tombs, Colonnaded Street, Byzantine Church, Temple of the Winged Lion's, Qasr al Bint, and the Petra Museum where your 3-4 hour guided tour will conclude. The rest of the day is free-time to continue to explore the city, perhaps climb to the Monastery and/or High Place of Sacrifice. Overnight: Petra

Day 3: Petra - Madaba - Mt Nebo - Dead Sea

This morning we descend the al-Sharah Mountains to reach the Rift Valley and the Dead Sea, the lowest point on earth (420 metres below sea level). Along the way we will stop at Lot's Wife's Pillar. Continue travelling north beside the Dead Sea to reach the Public Beach at the northern end. Try floating in the water, 7 times saltier than regular seawater. We will ascend back into the mountains to visit Mt Nebo where God showed Moses the Promised Land before he died. A short distance from Mt Nebo is Madaba, known for the detailed mosaic map discovered on the floor of the 6th Century St Georges Church which shows all major biblical sites from Lebanon to Egypt. Late afternoon we transfer you to Queen Alia International Airport for departure.
